Anthony Pompliano, founder and CEO of Professional Capital Management, on Wednesday asserted that humanity is experiencing the safest and most prosperous era in history, citing declining global extreme poverty and robust economic data to support his claim.

What Happened: In a Twitter address streamed from his desk, Pompliano urged viewers to focus on tangible progress rather than negative headlines.

Pompliano addressed Bitcoin's (CRYPTO: BTC) 15-year run as the top-performing asset, noting its 29,000% return over the past decade compared to the S&P 500's 179%.

He attributed this success to Bitcoin's role as a beneficiary of global liquidity, citing macro expert Raoul Pal's charts that show a tight correlation between expanding liquidity and Bitcoin's price surges.

"Increasing dollars go into a finite asset, well that means the price has to go up and that's exactly what's happened with Bitcoin," Pompliano explained, emphasizing the asset's appeal as a "digital sound money" amid central banks' monetary policies.

Why It Matters: Beyond financial markets, Pompliano challenged official inflation figures, criticizing the Bureau of Labor Statistics' outdated methods, such as sending humans to collect grocery prices and relying on phone surveys for housing data.

He introduced Truflation, an alternative metric using real-time data, which reported a 1.39% inflation rate—nearly half the government's 3% year-over-year figure as of the latest report.

"Truflation is showing the effects of reduced government spending, of new tariff initiatives, and the economic slowdown," he noted, suggesting this lower rate could prompt the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates.

However, Pompliano's core message centered on global prosperity. He cited a dramatic decline in extreme poverty, from over 35% of the world's population in 1990 to under 10% in 2025.

"We live in the safest, most prosperous time in human history. If you could choose any time to live, you would choose the future, because it's gonna be so great," he said, reinforcing his stance with data-driven optimism.

He acknowledged ongoing challenges but dismissed the notion of a degrading world, stating, "Don't get tricked into believing the world is degrading to some horrible version of its past self."

Pompliano concluded by crediting persistent human effort for this progress, saying, "It takes courageous individuals working diligently day after day… in order for us to continue to improve our lives and the lives of our children."

Despite the news cycle's focus on conflict and financial woes, he insisted, "Regardless of what the news tells you, we're better off today than we've ever been."
